Brand Photoshoot Tips 📸

How to prep for a brand photoshoot so it *actually* turns out how you want it to.

Research:

After you’ve researched and chosen a photographer that shoots and edits in a style you like, continue your research by looking at locations, pose inspiration, and outfit styles.

Mood Boards:

Make sure to create a mood board for each location of your shoot. These included inspiration for poses, close up / miscellaneous shots, action shots, and overall aesthetic.

Coordinate Outfits:

If there’s more than one subject in your photoshoot, the outfits need to flow. If they don’t work together, the vibe is going to be off. We also brought *way* more options than we needed just in case.

Organize Props:

It’s easy to forget all of the props you want included, so get started on this early. For example: glasses, books, laptop, phone, plants, holiday items, confetti, coffee, champagne, planners, etc.

Shot List:

Create a list of must have shots so that something on your “must have” list doesn’t get forgotten in the excitement of the day.

Have Fun:

Honestly, brand shoots are hard work even when you’re in front of the camera. It’s a long day and can get overwhelming fast.. which you don’t want to show in your photos. Put on a playlist that makes you feel good, have fun, and relax.
